American Gladiators is a video game adaptation of a television program. The core activity involves a player facing a roster of ten professional athletes, divided evenly by gender, across a series of physical contests.
The roster includes five female competitors, such as Ice and Gold, and five male ones like Turbo and Nitro. Many of these characters are portrayed by individuals with backgrounds in physical fitness. The gameplay consists of seven distinct events, all presented from a third person perspective.
These events collectively assess attributes like speed and power. The competition culminates in a final challenge called the Eliminator, which is a direct head to head race on an obstacle course.
