The player assumes the role of Theodore "Ace" Harding, a private investigator and former boxer who finds himself in a Chicago bar in 1941. He has completely lost his memory and discovers a gun in his possession missing three rounds, which connects to a nearby murder. The primary objective involves piecing together his own identity and the events leading to this situation while evading police interest.
This title was a pioneering release from ICOM, which later produced other adventure titles. It distinguished itself from common text based interfaces of its era by utilizing a multi window system with bitmapped graphics and mouse control.
