In Dark Seed, the player assumes the role of Mike Dawson, an advertising professional who has bought a remote house in Woodland Hills. The purchase is motivated by his aspiration to become a writer and the property's appealing, yet suspiciously inexpensive, nature.
The game is an adventure title that utilizes artwork inspired by H. R. Giger, establishing a horror atmosphere. After moving in, Dawson experiences extreme fatigue and falls asleep, only to awaken into a dire situation where a dark entity has been implanted in his mind.
This scenario creates a challenging premise, as the player must find a way to remove this threat within a three-day timeframe.
