Armored Fist 2 Overview
Armored Fist 2 is a tank simulation that utilizes the VoxelSpace technology previously seen in Novalogic's Comanche series. This approach allowed for detailed terrain and vehicle models without requiring specialized 3D hardware. The game focuses on the M1A2 Abrams main battle tank, offering control from several positions including the driver's, gunner's, and commander's stations, as well as external camera angles.
Over fifty missions are available across various global theaters, including Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. Players typically command a small platoon of tanks and can occasionally receive support from helicopter gunships. The simulation is designed with an easy to fair approach, prioritizing action over strict realism to appeal to a broader audience.
In addition to the game itself, the CD release included supplemental material such as actual training footage from a United States Marine Corps combat center.
