Wrecking Crew '98 Overview
Wrecking Crew '98 is a Super Nintendo sequel to a 1985 Nintendo Entertainment System title. The premise involves Mario taking action against Bowser, who is building tall structures that block sunlight from reaching plants. To stop this, Mario sets out to demolish the buildings.
Opposing Mario is Foreman Spike, a former construction boss and adversary now working for Bowser. The game includes a two player competitive mode where participants play at the same time, a change from the original game's design. As an additional feature, the complete original Wrecking Crew game is accessible within this release.
This title was first distributed through a Nintendo Power cartridge download service before later receiving a conventional physical cartridge release.
