War 2410 Overview
War 2410 is a turn-based strategy title where players command a military force across a grid-based map. The conflict originates from a 2003 genetic experiment that created three hostile factions: Orcs, cybernetic Cromes, and enhanced human soldiers known as M.A.R.S.
Gameplay revolves around maneuvering distinct unit types, including ground and air assets, each with specific movement and attack ranges. A core tactical element is that certain units are incapable of engaging opponents in a different domain, such as ground forces being unable to hit aerial targets. Terrain features like forests or structures provide defensive bonuses during combat.
Missions typically require the elimination of all opposing forces, though some objectives involve seizing enemy headquarters. The game presents a challenging dynamic because any unit that is attacked will automatically counterattack if the aggressor remains within its range. Players cannot upgrade or customize their units, and each scenario begins with all assets already deployed on the battlefield.
