Tokimeki Memorial: Densetsu no Ki no Shita de Overview
Tokimeki Memorial: Densetsu no Ki no Shita de is a Super Famicom adaptation of a Konami dating simulation. This cartridge version is derived from the 1994 PC-Engine CD release, not the later PlayStation iteration which had more content. It stands as the sole entry in the series to appear on a Nintendo home console.
Technical constraints from the cartridge format led to the near total removal of voice acting. A minor exception allows a voice clip from the previous playthrough's most favored character to be heard during loading upon starting a new game. The core gameplay systems remain largely intact despite these reductions.
Packaged with the original game was a mini-CD. This included a drama track titled "Taste is Appletarte" and a new arrangement of the ending theme "Futari no Toki", performed by most of the game's female characters.
