Super Slam Dunk Overview
"Super Slam Dunk" is a basketball video game for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. It includes twenty eight teams, with twenty seven representing cities of actual professional teams from its time period, and one additional all star team. The game offers both an exhibition match option and a playoff tournament for eight teams.
Gameplay takes place on a vertically oriented court, with the display showing only one half at a time. The screen rotates when possession changes sides, revealing the other half of the court. Commentary is provided by broadcaster Chick Hearn during the action, while Earvin "Magic" Johnson offers remarks before games begin.
Match settings allow players to configure the length of each quarter and decide whether fouls are enabled. These options apply to both the standard exhibition games and the championship playoff mode.
