Champions World Class Soccer Overview
Champions World Class Soccer is a soccer simulation for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. It presents matches from a third-person side view with a slight downward tilt. The available modes include single exhibition matches, a full tournament, and a two-player exhibition option.
Gameplay mechanics are straightforward, limited to passing, shooting, and tackling, with an additional button for switching control between athletes. Teams are represented only by nationality, as individual player names are not displayed. Each national side has statistical ratings for speed, offense, and defense, and various tactical formations can be chosen.
Several match conditions can be adjusted prior to play. The options menu allows players to set the half length, toggle fouls and offside rules on or off, and utilize a radar display to track positioning. Tournament progress is saved via a password system. In its European release, the game features an endorsement from footballer Ryan Giggs.
