Super Batter Up Overview
Super Batter Up is a baseball simulation for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. It includes a full season of play in its league mode, alongside standard exhibition matches for one or two participants. The available athletes are drawn from the 1991 season, using the MLBPA license to feature real players, though teams are identified by their cities rather than official league names.
Gameplay perspective places the player behind the batter for both pitching and hitting actions. Strategic substitutions are possible, such as bringing in a pinch hitter or a relief pitcher. Three distinct stadium types are selectable, each with its own environmental traits.
Before starting, several options can be configured. These include setting the length of the game by inning count and toggling rules for errors and early game termination.
