Metal Morph Overview
Metal Morph is a side scrolling platformer set in the 23rd century. Earth has established contact with a dimension called Otherside and constructed a Hypergate to link the two realms. The player controls the Metal Morph, a living metal entity sent as an ambassador, whose mission is disrupted after an ambush upon arrival.
Core gameplay involves running, jumping, and shooting. A unique ability allows the character to transform into a liquid metal blob, granting temporary invulnerability and access to areas via pipes that are otherwise unreachable. Various power ups are available to assist in combat, including weapons that fire multiple shots or track targets.
The experience is broken up by sections where the player pilots a spaceship. In these sequences, the ship can be maneuvered in all directions to engage enemies and avoid their fire while searching for stolen pods. Ship upgrades can be collected, such as those that increase velocity or provide protective shields.
