Kendo Rage Overview
Kendo Rage is a side scrolling action game where the player controls Josephine, a student at a unique kendo school. The school's instructor, Honest Osaki, combines swordsmanship training with the development of psychic abilities to combat supernatural threats.
Josephine wields a bamboo sword for standard attacks and can harness a psychic energy meter that refills over time. The potency of her special attacks is directly tied to the current charge level of this meter, which is visually indicated by a color change. One such technique consumes energy to envelop her in flames during a forward dash.
Her journey consists of seven distinct stages, each concluding with a boss encounter. She faces a variety of unusual enemies, including ghosts and pandas, using her martial and psychic skills. A magical artifact known as the Zopikki Talisman enables her transformation into a more powerful warrior form for these battles.
