Final Fantasy V Overview
Final Fantasy V is a role playing game where the player controls a party of four characters. The narrative begins with a disruption to the Elemental Crystals, which maintain the planet's natural balance. This crisis draws together several individuals: Bartz, a wandering traveler; Lenna, a princess; Galuf, an old man on a mission; and Faris, a pirate captain. Their journey focuses on discovering what is harming the crystals.
The game's systems include the Active Time Battle mechanic for combat, where actions occur in real time. Character development is managed through a Job system, allowing each party member to be assigned a specific class. A key feature is the ability to mix skills, letting a character use an ability from one job while currently assigned to another.
An enhanced edition of the game, containing extra material, was later made available for the Game Boy Advance. The party's quest to restore the world's elemental forces forms the central plot.
