Bubsy II Overview
Bubsy II presents a platforming adventure where the protagonist, a bob-cat named Bubsy, explores a hyperdimensional mansion. This setting contains portals that transport the character to various distinct locations and time periods.
The gameplay involves navigating large levels with a focus on speed and agility, reminiscent of titles like Sonic. Movement capabilities include running very fast and executing high jumps. Enemies are typically dispatched by landing on them.
Players can access most levels from the game's start, choosing to begin in either the mansion's west or east wing. The environments reached through the portals are varied, including an Egyptian pyramid, a sci-fi space zone, a musical world, a natural landscape, and a series of side-scrolling stages where Bubsy pilots an airplane. The final level remains locked until others are completed.
