Brandish 2: The Planet Buster is an action role-playing game centered on dungeon exploration. Players assume the role of Ares, a warrior whose signature magical sword is stolen by a warlock named Karl. Following this, Ares is imprisoned underground and must navigate the extensive prison to reclaim his weapon.
The setting occurs three years after the defeat of a demonic king, continuing the narrative from the first game. Gameplay involves real-time combat against enemies, the use of spells, and solving puzzles within multi-level dungeons. Ares can perform actions like jumping forward and attacking objects to break them.
