Ruin Arm Overview
Ruin Arm is an action role-playing game where the player primarily directs a young protagonist named Arm. His journey begins with a simple task from his father in Arff Village but quickly escalates when he returns to find his home assaulted by an imperial force. This event sets him on a path to investigate the threat, leading to discoveries about a fallen empire known as Mediom and its malevolent ruler.
The narrative involves several key figures from Arm's life, including his sister Linda and a talking bird named Lucia. After the attack leaves his father with amnesia, finding a cure becomes one objective among others, such as a subsequent royal quest from the king of Rondium. Gameplay involves navigating challenging dungeons that often require puzzle-solving through character cooperation.
In combat, party members fulfill distinct roles, such as Arm engaging in physical attacks while Linda provides magical support. Control over the party can be managed manually, one character at a time, or delegated to computer AI. The game's structure weaves these personal and exploratory threads together as Arm uncovers ancient secrets.
