Battle Blaze Overview
Battle Blaze is a side-view fighting game for two players or one player against the computer. Its control scheme is built around a jump button and an attack button, which are used to command any of the six selectable fighters. Each combatant is distinguished by a specific weapon and a small set of individual special techniques.
The narrative context involves a demon from the Netherworld attempting to corrupt the Tournament of Champions in the land of Virg, which determines the next king. After the contender Durill dies repelling a possessing phantom, his son Kerrel enters the tournament for vengeance. This story is exclusively followed in the single-player Hero mode where Kerrel is the only playable character. The alternative Battle mode unlocks the entire roster for versus matches without the story.
