WWF Royal Rumble is a professional wrestling video game featuring twelve selectable competitors from the World Wrestling Federation roster. Matches are presented as no holds barred brawls, permitting a wide range of aggressive maneuvers.
Players can execute various attacks including choke holds and piledrivers, and are even allowed to use a chair as a weapon. The action is not confined to the ring, as participants may choose to fight outside of it.
The game offers multiple match formats for different numbers of competitors. These include standard singles matches, two on two tag team bouts, and three on three tag team encounters.
The available wrestlers are Bret Hart, Razor Ramon, Randy Savage, Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker, Tatanka, Mr. Perfect, Crush, Ric Flair, Yokozuna, Ted Dibiase, and Lex Luger. Victory is achieved by knocking out the opposing wrestler or wrestlers.
