Jennifer Capriati Tennis Overview
Jennifer Capriati Tennis is a sports simulation for the Sega Genesis centered on professional tournament play. Its primary competitive structure is the Circuits mode, where the objective is to secure victories across four major international opens located in Sydney, Paris, London, and Florida.
A significant aspect of the experience involves creating a custom athlete. This process allows for the selection of physical characteristics and handedness, alongside detailed customization of playing style. Players allocate a finite pool of skill points to define their avatar's capabilities, such as the strength of their forehand and backhand, their agility, and their effectiveness at the net. The type of spin applied to shots is also a configurable element.
Matches can be played on three distinct court surfaces: lawn, hard, or clay. Outside of the formal circuit, the game provides an Exhibition option for casual singles or doubles matches, as well as a Training mode for practice.
