Verytex Overview
Verytex is a vertical scrolling shooter set in a future where human space colonization has not yet discovered alien life. The player assumes the role of an elite squad member investigating the disappearance of the battleship Aphrodite on the planet Shirakota.
The core gameplay involves navigating through six stages, with a visual style that incorporates organic elements. Players utilize a primary weapon system with three distinct types: a standard multidirectional cannon, a focused forward beam, and a wide forward shot. Each of these can be enhanced through three power levels.
Additional offensive and defensive options are available. Homing missiles, which can also be upgraded, provide targeted support. The arsenal is supplemented by smart bombs and temporary shield pickups to aid survival.
