Tiny Toon Adventures: Buster's Hidden Treasure is a platform game where the player controls Buster Bunny. The central objective involves navigating through various levels to ultimately reclaim a stolen treasure map and rescue friends who have been brainwashed or kidnapped by the antagonist, Montana Max.
Progression is managed from a world map, allowing level selection. Each stage requires locating Gogo Dodo to exit, with some containing hidden exits that can unlock shortcuts or more challenging routes. Buster defeats enemies primarily by jumping on them and can collect carrots; gathering fifty summons a helper that clears all on-screen foes.
