SeaQuest DSV Overview
SeaQuest DSV casts the player as a UEO officer who first completes a training simulation before joining the seaQuest vessel's crew. The core activity involves piloting the main submarine to designated mission zones across an underwater map.
Various specialized vehicles are deployed from the seaQuest to handle specific tasks. These include combat-focused craft like the Speeder and the advanced Stinger, as well as utility vessels such as the Sea Crab for excavation and docking, the slow Sea Truck for transport, and the Remote Probe for repairs. The dolphin Darwin provides unique agility for accessing confined spaces but lacks defenses.
Mission objectives are diverse, covering salvage, rescue, disarming explosives, combat, and exploration. A budget system governs progress, where completing missions adds funds and damaging property deducts from it. Acquired money is necessary to resupply weapons and purchase additional vehicles, reflecting the challenging and hazardous nature of the underwater environment.
