Pelé II: World Tournament Soccer Overview
Pelé II: World Tournament Soccer is a licensed football simulation for the Sega Genesis. It features the twenty four national teams that qualified for the 1994 FIFA World Cup, with each team accompanied by tactical notes from Pelé himself.
Matches are presented from an isometric perspective, oriented for play from the bottom right to the top left of the screen. Players have control over several match conditions, including optional weather effects and the choice to enable penalty shoot outs. The length of a match can be adjusted in five minute increments, ranging from five to forty five minutes.
Beyond standard eleven a side matches, which can be played as friendlies or in a full tournament mode, the game includes a five a side variant. This mode is played on a regulation sized field. Team management options are comprehensive, allowing for a full selection of formations and the use of squads containing twenty two fictional players.
