Spy vs Spy Overview
Spy vs Spy is a competitive action game for one or two players, based on the MAD magazine comic. The objective is for one spy to gather a set of specific items before a time limit expires, while simultaneously hindering the opponent.
Players control either the black or white spy within an embassy setting, searching furniture like desks and cabinets to find objects. These items, which include a passport and secret plans, must be collected into a briefcase. The gameplay is challenging due to the adversarial element, as players can set traps in rooms to disrupt each other's progress.
Interaction is a key component, with direct combat occurring if both armed spies meet. The split-screen display allows both characters to be viewed simultaneously. Environmental objects can be used to counter traps, such as employing a water bucket to neutralize a bomb.
