S.C.A.T.: Special Cybernetic Attack Team Overview
S.C.A.T. is a side-scrolling shooter set in a 2029 where New York City lies in ruins. An alien leader named Supreme Commander Vile Malmort has constructed an Astrotube linking the city to his orbital base, posing an existential threat. The player controls one of two cyborg soldiers, Arnold or Sigourney, who can be played solo or cooperatively.
Gameplay revolves around navigating five stages using a jet pack for omnidirectional flight. The primary offensive tools are two orbiting cannons, which can be configured to fire in a fixed pattern or a single direction. Defeating the invasion is a challenging task, as players begin with a limited number of lives, though continues are unlimited. Collectible power-ups provide new weapon types or restore health during the mission.
