High Speed Overview
High Speed is a Nintendo Entertainment System adaptation of a Williams Electronics pinball machine. The video game conversion maintains the original table layout and core mechanics while integrating new interactive elements not found in the physical version.
These additions include hazards like rust balls that can destroy a flipper and opponents such as magnetic helicopters. The display employs a split-screen technique, with a static view of the lower flippers and a scrolling section that tracks the ball's movement across the upper playfield. The title supports multiple participants, with one to four players taking turns.
