Gyromite Overview
Gyromite involves navigating a laboratory environment to achieve specific objectives under time constraints. The primary goal is to disarm all explosives before a timer expires, with obstacles including colored pillars that must be manipulated.
Assistance comes from a robot named ROB, which handles the movement of these red and blue barriers. Hostile creatures called Smicks patrol the area, presenting a challenging hazard that requires a specific countermeasure: collecting radishes to feed them, which allows safe passage.
A secondary mode of play features a different objective, where the player must create a path for a sleepwalking scientist to return home safely. This variation shifts the focus from bomb disposal to environmental navigation for another character.
