Popeye 2 Overview
Popeye 2 is a side-scrolling platform game featuring the character Popeye. His primary offensive action is a punch, which can be used to break apart bricks in the environment.
Destroying certain bricks will uncover cans of spinach for the player to collect. This resource directly governs the power of Popeye's attack; the more spinach he has, the larger his fist becomes. If an enemy strikes him, this progress is reversed as he loses spinach. The game becomes challenging because losing all spinach results in Popeye's death.
Gathering the maximum of seven spinach cans unlocks a new ability, allowing Popeye to fire the cans as a projectile weapon. The structure of the game involves progressing through a series of levels, each culminating in a confrontation with a boss.
