Nintama Rantarō: Ninjutsu Gakuen ni Nyūgaku Shiyō no Dan Overview
Nintama Rantarō: Ninjutsu Gakuen ni Nyūgaku Shiyō no Dan adapts its anime source into a collection of six distinct activities. The primary mode, Shugyō no Maki, contains five timed minigames where the player selects one of three student characters: Rantarō, KiriMaru, or ShinBē. These challenges test various ninja skills, from a wall-jumping ascent and target shooting to rowing and swimming, with the latter introducing a breath management mechanic.
A separate competitive mode, Taisen no Maki, involves collecting scrolls across a map. Players must attack opponents using randomly spawned weapons like shurikens and bombs to steal scrolls, with the goal of holding all five until a timer runs out. This mode features a single-player progression against computer-controlled students and teachers, and it also supports two-player matches.
Performance in the five practice minigames is tracked via a high score table in the Kiroku no Maki option. The gameplay across both modes presents a mix of challenging time trials and fair strategic competition.
