The Wild Thornberrys: Rambler Overview
The Wild Thornberrys: Rambler is a collection of six distinct mini-games, representing the first video game adaptation of the animated television series. The overarching premise involves the Thornberry family traveling globally in an attempt to win a prestigious nature documentary award.
Each mini-game features a different family member in a unique international location with a specific objective. These tasks primarily involve collecting scattered items, such as videotapes in the Australian Outback or pieces of a broken camera in the Amazon. Other scenarios include rescuing caged animals on the Galapagos Islands, gathering CDs after a storm in the Congo, or photographing wildlife in the Himalayas.
The game offers three selectable difficulty settings, labeled Wild, Wilder, and Wildest. These modes directly influence gameplay by altering the number of items required for collection in each scenario. Furthermore, completing the game on each difficulty level results in a different ending sequence.
