Hole in One Golf Overview
Hole in One Golf is a Game Boy Color title offering three distinct 18-hole courses set in Tokyo, Arizona, and Hawaii. Gameplay utilizes two primary camera views: a back perspective for selecting shot power and aim, and an overhead map showing the entire hole, weather, and distance.
A notable mechanic is the event system, where characters such as Caprice, Zippy, or Wroth can interact with the ball after it is struck, potentially helping or hindering the player's progress. On the green, players must account for flat, slow slope, and high slope terrains when putting.
The game provides multiple modes, including a standard Stroke play mode, a Tournament competition against professionals, and a Link mode for two-player matches via cable. The physical cartridge is designed to house a AAA battery, which is included to enable a rumble feature during play.
