Black Bass: Lure Fishing is a portable adaptation of a fishing series for the Game Boy Color. The game's environment is limited to two lakes, and the available tackle includes a specific selection like spinner baits, plastic frogs, and worms.
Anglers target four species: trout, pike, catfish, and the titular black bass. The interface employs a dual perspective system, where casting uses an overhead view with directional guidance, while the actual lure retrieval is shown from the side.
