Sonic Advance Overview
Sonic Advance marks the character's debut on a Nintendo platform, blending design aspects from earlier Genesis titles and the Dreamcast Sonic Adventure games. Players select from four characters, including Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy, to navigate through numerous stages.
The core activity involves moving at high speed, gathering rings, and avoiding obstacles and enemies on the way to a confrontation with Dr. Robotnik. A separate objective involves finding Chaos Emeralds, which grant a transformation for increased velocity.
Multiplayer functions allow for competitive modes with up to four participants using a single game cartridge. Additionally, a Chao creature can be raised within the game and transferred to a related title on the Nintendo GameCube.
