Sonic Advance 3 presents a scenario where Doctor Eggman has fractured the world into seven separate pieces. The central objective involves locating seven Chaos Emeralds to repair this damage.
This installment builds upon its predecessors by incorporating their established features while introducing new structural options. A key addition is the ability for two players to participate together, either cooperatively in the main story or in various competitive multiplayer modes.
During the story mode, gameplay is distinguished by a character pairing system. The player selects a primary character and a secondary partner, who follows and assists throughout the adventure.
