Mario Family is a software cartridge for the Nintendo Game Boy Color that interfaces with specific Jaguar brand sewing machines, namely the JN-100 and JN-2000 models. The cartridge's function is to provide digital patterns based on the Mario series, including characters, enemies, and items, which the connected sewing machine can then produce as physical embroidery.
This product concept had a predecessor in the Famicom Disk System title I am a Teacher: Super Mario Sweater. A planned follow-up cartridge featuring Kirby series patterns was cancelled.
