Bush Buck: Global Treasure Hunter Overview
BushBuck Charms, Viking Ships & Dodo Eggs is an educational geography game from the early 1990s, developed by PC Globe Inc. It frames learning as a two-player competitive race to recover treasures from a villain's collection.
Gameplay involves traveling a network of air routes between 206 cities worldwide. On each visit, players gather geographical and cultural facts about the location. These details are crucial for interpreting clues that lead to specific treasures, which are tied to real-world places. Success depends on a player's ability to correlate this information with their knowledge of world geography.
Each match features 15 randomly selected treasures from a pool of 400. Players use plane tickets to travel, and the game ends when all treasures are found or both players exhaust their tickets. Victory goes to the player with the most points from returned treasures. The game offers three difficulty levels, making it challenging at higher settings by strengthening the opponent AI and reducing clue assistance.
