WarCraft: Orcs & Humans Overview
WarCraft: Orcs & Humans is a real-time strategy game from Blizzard Entertainment where two factions vie for control. The conflict begins when a portal opened by the mage Medivh introduces Orcish hordes to the previously peaceful human kingdom of Azeroth, initiating a war for dominance.
Players choose to command either the Human or Orc forces, each with a distinct campaign of twelve scenarios. Success requires gathering resources like gold and wood to fund the construction of buildings and the training of military units. The fantasy setting features a variety of troops, from Knights and Archers to magical units such as Clerics, Warlocks, and Necromancers.
Multiplayer competition for two players is supported across several connection types, including modem and network play. Over twenty custom maps are available for these head-to-head matches, which are also compatible between IBM-PC and Macintosh versions.
