Space Ace is a DOS title that functions as an interactive cartoon, with visuals drawn from animated film. It represents a second adaptation of Don Bluth's laserdisc game series after Dragon's Lair.
The player controls Dexter, whose objective is to rescue his girlfriend Kimberly from the villain Borf. Borf employs a device called the Infanto Ray, which can transform adults into children, as part of his threat to the world.
Gameplay consists of navigating through sequential scenes by inputting the correct directional command at key moments. Failure to do so results in a death screen, making the experience challenging due to the need for precise timing amidst many potential failures.
