Sensible World of Soccer Overview
Sensible World of Soccer expands upon its predecessor by incorporating a comprehensive global soccer database. This includes numerous domestic leagues, often with multiple divisions, alongside major international tournaments for both clubs and national teams.
The management component allows for the transfer of any player, with a pool of 24,000 real athletes modeled after the 1994/1995 season. A career mode spans up to twenty years, where a manager can receive offers from different clubs based on performance. The DOS release specifically builds on the Amiga 1.1 version, updating the player data to the 1995/1996 season and introducing the option to toggle between player-manager and manager-only roles before matches.
Outside of a career, users can engage in friendly matches, complete a single season of any competition, or design custom tournaments with teams selected from any nation. All matches support human or computer control of teams. Player development is influenced by on-field performance, with consistent goal-scoring leading to improved athlete statistics.
