Redneck Rampage Overview

Redneck Rampage is a first person shooter built on the same engine as Duke Nukem 3D, employing a pseudo 3D environment with two dimensional sprites. Its premise centers on Leonard, a resident of the Arkansas town of Hickston, who must combat cloned versions of his neighbors and leather clad alien cyborgs to recover his stolen prize pig, Bessie.

The game's setting and mechanics are thoroughly defined by its rural theme. Health and protective boosts are obtained not from standard kits but from consuming pork rinds and whisky, though excessive drinking impairs vision and control. The arsenal reflects this unconventional tone, featuring items like a crossbow that fires dynamite and a circular saw launcher.

Levels are designed around locations such as chicken plants and trailer parks, reinforcing the backwater atmosphere. The core objective involves navigating these areas to confront the alien forces and their cloned redneck minions.
