The narrative centers on Wilbur Wafflemeier, an average human who becomes the target of an alien meat supplier named Zlarg. Zlarg intends to use humans as ingredients for the Orion Burger fast-food chain, circumventing interstellar laws that prohibit using sentient beings by rigging the required consciousness tests to ensure failure.
Gameplay involves Wilbur attempting to prove his sentience by passing a series of five evaluations. To succeed, he must navigate his hometown, converse with its residents, collect various objects, and solve a range of logical puzzles.
