Might and Magic: Swords of Xeen Overview
Might and Magic: Swords of Xeen is a role-playing video game that originated as a fan modification. It was built using the game engine from Might and Magic V, with development led by Catware and story input from Ellen Beeman.
New World Computing provided publishing support, resulting in the game's 1995 release. It was not sold separately, instead appearing as a bonus scenario within the Might and Magic Trilogy compilation and later various series anthologies.
The gameplay utilizes the engine in creative ways, such as combining monster animations to create new enemy types. Certain scripting irregularities can make progression easy, as players may avoid many combat encounters through specific movement techniques.
