Kick Off 2 is a top-down football simulation that builds upon its predecessor. It offers tournament play with fictional teams and includes four pitch types, one of which is a plastic surface known for its unpredictable ball behavior.
The control scheme emphasizes deliberate ball handling. Rather than the ball automatically staying with a player, it must be trapped underfoot to set up passes, making dribbling initially challenging. Mastery allows for advanced techniques like overhead kicks, back-heels, and long through-balls.
