Heimdall 2: Into the Hall of Worlds Overview
Heimdall 2: Into the Hall of Worlds is an isometric adventure platform game set across various Nordic realms. The narrative follows Heimdall, a god with mortal experience, and a Valkyrie named Ursha, who are tasked with stopping Loki permanently. This mission involves retrieving the scattered pieces of a powerful amulet capable of imprisoning a god, a quest previously attempted and failed by Baldur.
Gameplay involves navigating different lands, where players solve puzzles and engage in combat using swords, bows, or magic. The puzzles often require locating specific objects, determining item combinations, or finding paths through mazes. A key mechanic allows the player to switch control between the two protagonists, with some sections requiring the use of both characters to progress.
The conflict originates from Loki's revenge against the gods of Asgard, executed by his warriors who ravage Midgard and Utgard. In response, Odin and the elder gods devise the plan to recover the amulet, selecting Heimdall for his unique background and providing Ursha as his companion for the journey through the Hall of Worlds.
