Earthworm Jim Overview
Earthworm Jim is a side-scrolling platformer where the player controls a worm who has gained a powerful robotic suit. The suit grants Jim abilities like firing a weapon and using its head as a versatile tool for attacking or navigating the environment.
The narrative involves a suit stolen from space that crashes to Earth, transforming the ordinary worm Jim. After putting on the suit, Jim learns of Queen Slug-for-a-Butt's desire for it and sets out to find a princess mentioned in her plans.
Levels primarily involve platforming and combat, concluding with boss encounters. The structure includes variations where objectives change, such as protecting another character. Other segments depart from the core platforming entirely, featuring races or specific action challenges.
