Cohort II is a historical battle simulation set between 200 BC and 200 AD. Players can configure conflicts between Roman legions, various barbarian factions, or clashes between these two broad military forces.
For immediate play, over two dozen predefined scenarios are available through separate cards. The computer opponent employs a challenging and adaptive artificial intelligence, altering its tactics in response to the flow of battle. This ensures that replaying any given scenario does not yield a predictable outcome.
