Blake Stone: Planet Strike! is a direct sequel that continues in the same style as its predecessor. The core progression involves a new objective where players must locate a bomb on each map to destroy a security cube, which then opens the exit.
While it introduces a total of 24 levels presented as a single linear episode, most of the enemy roster is repurposed from the earlier game. These include former bosses now appearing as standard foes and recolored variants of existing enemies, with only one entirely new adversary. A new ultimate weapon called the Plasma Discharger is also available.
