Billy the Kid Returns! Overview
Billy the Kid Returns is a DOS action game that follows the exploits of the young outlaw William Bonney. Players experience a fictionalized version of his criminal career through ten distinct stages.
The gameplay shifts between side scrolling, platforming, and top down perspectives across various scenarios. These include escaping custody, seeking treasure, and facing adversaries like Apache warriors and bounty hunters. The final level depicts a showdown with Sheriff Pat Garrett.
Armed only with a gun, the player confronts numerous threats, from soldiers and guard dogs to snipers and wild animals. Collectible items such as apples and tools contribute to the player's score, while cooked meat provides an extra life.
