Baby Jo in: “Going Home” Overview
Baby Jo in: "Going Home" is a side-scrolling platform game where the player controls the infant protagonist on a journey home. The core challenge involves navigating four levels while managing several of the baby's needs alongside environmental threats.
Enemies, which include creatures like bees and spiders as well as machines such as lawnmowers, can be dealt with using rattles that Jo can pick up and throw. Survival depends not only on avoiding these hazards but also on maintaining the character's condition. A health indicator shows a face that becomes more tearful as damage is taken.
Two additional survival meters require constant attention: a diaper that gradually becomes wetter and a rising thirst level. Letting either meter reach a critical point results in the immediate loss of a life. Therefore, collecting fresh diapers and bottles is a fundamental part of the gameplay. The interface and text are available in multiple languages, including English, French, German, and Spanish.
