X-Kaliber 2097 Overview
X-Kaliber 2097 is set in a dilapidated NEO N.Y. during the late 21st century, under the control of the warlord Raptor. His enforcement relies on an army of mutating creatures known as Morphs.
The primary gameplay involves side-scrolling action where the player character, equipped with a sword, can jump, attack enemies, and deflect incoming projectiles. This core action is punctuated by one-on-one encounters against bosses, which adopt a structure similar to a fighting game.
The narrative centers on two special forces agents, Slash and Alix, who resist Raptor. To lure Slash and his powerful X-Kaliber sword, Raptor orchestrates Alix's kidnapping. Beyond the single-player campaign, a separate two-player duel mode is available, utilizing the same fighting game style mechanics for human versus human competition.
